The werewolf gave a howl of dismay.
And the ghost looked dispirited.
The mummy looked pained.
The ghoul dropped the chicken whose blood he had been sucking, onto the floor, and then fainted next to it.
“We, err, sorry Sir” mumbled the mummy, “But we’re not due out till midnight”
“Yes, midnight” whined the werewolf. “The bewitching hour. It’s only half past eleven – we’ve got half an hour yet”.
Pinky Ponky Poo Piddly Ping Ping, Queen of the Pixies sighed.
Mad Mick the Magician got Freddy Krueger and the Cane-Toad Kid. Captain Stoatmangler got the entire Borgia family. Poncy Princess Polly got a hoard of killer death hounds, two tasmanian hyper-devils AND a dragon called Horace. And what did he get? What did the great Pinky Ponky Poo Piddly Ping Ping, Queen of the Pixies get? Bloody rejects from the Adams family – that’s what he got.
He drew in a big deep breath, swished his long, blond hair back in a gesture of authority and in as manly a voice as he could muster, yelled at the top of his voice “It’s half past TWELVE not half past ELEVEN! How could you ALL forget that tonight is the start of Daylight Savings?“
“Sorry boss” said the werewolf, looking sheepish. “Yeah, sorry boss” chorused the others – except for the ghoul who was still unconscious (and the chicken who had long since died from blood loss to the ghoul)
“Well wake up that cock sucker, get yourself organised, and get out there” snarled Pinky Ponky Poo Piddly Ping Ping, Queen of the Pixies. “You got scarin’ to do!”
