The lagoon was of course not blue. the blue of the sky is false colour obtained from the exchange of the red and blue channels of an infrared picture. The photo was taken in Geelong at the Aboriginal Craft & Cultural Interpretation Centre – Narana Creations. They have a beautiful walk and lots of artwork to buy. It’s a great chance to learn a little more about Australia’s real history. If it sounds like a plug then I guess it is although only by someone who’s been there once and was very impressed.

It’s my first infrared lake so I’m happy with the results.

Come and see the world through new eyes.

Thanks Nathan. I was very pleased with the reflections as there wasnt much water in the lake (due to ongoing drought!).

You’ve done a fabulous job here, and you sure did pick a good spot to show off the best side of infrared! Love the blue tones.

Yes, I’ve got to give this infrared a try sometime. This is fabulous mr lightsmith – not only the colour but the composition is also very pleasing to the eye. Great job by any standards :-)
