Excellent – my mum is a Geelong resident who strongly opposes Fluoride being aded to drinking water. We are lucky enough here to be on good quality bore water

The whole thing is terrible really. Even if there’s no evidence about the negative effects of F it should still be an individual choice. We’re not children. Makes me want to spit my dummy !
FallingHorse
Absolutely – I get tired of Governments feeding us things that are supposd to be good for the wider community such as extra folate in bread etc because pregnant women supposedly require more. What about choice and the responsibility for people to make decisions that are good for their own health … any way that’s my soap box moment. Great work on your end – hope it does well :-)

Lovely done Now, tell them about the perchlorates
lightsmith replied
Perchlorates are the salts derived from perchloric acid (HClO4). They occur both naturally and through manufacturing. They have been used as a medicine for more than 50 years to treat thyroid gland disorders. They are also used as an oxidizer in rocket fuel and explosives and can be found in airbags and fireworks. Both potassium perchlorate (KClO4) and ammonium perchlorate (NH4ClO4) are used extensively within the pyrotechnics industry, and ammonium perchlorate is also a component of solid rocket fuel. Lithium perchlorate, which decomposes exothermically to give oxygen, is used in oxygen ‘candles’ on spacecraft, submarines and in other esoteric situations where a reliable backup or supplementary oxygen supply is needed. Most perchlorate salts are soluble in water.
Gulp!

And, almost all the “drinkable” water in the United States is polluted with them, causing major thyroid issues for millions, who are not considered bad enough off to warrant treatment – since there is nothing actually wrong with their thyroid, it is what’s wrong with their drinking water, therefore also their vegetation. In other words, if you follow your doctors advice, drink more water, eat more vegetables, and lay off the salt (which you need a lot of iodine to counteract the perchlorates) you may end up weighing 200 lbs more than if you didn’t.
You may also go crazy and start killing people from the pain, dizziness, hallucinations, etc.
Life is good, isn’t it?

You’re hitting some of the reasons that I rate governments lower than drug pushers and only slightly higher (on a good day) than child molesters.
Arletta
I know. Well, perhaps, when it was originally polluted, it was due to ignorance; the cover ups, the denials when other people point out the truth of it, however, is not.
