Hello everyone. I’m new to this group and it is the first group on RB that I’ve joined. How do I upload images to this group? Thanks for the advice and I look forward to seeing all of your works and sharing mine.
Thankyou thankyou thankyou Lightsmith – I have gone into 6 group doofers so far & none has this information on uploading to group….........Obviously this one is marvellous now!...............Mwah in your general direction.
Having seen a few very beautiful infrared photos, on RB, this is something I am very interested in learning more about. Would someone recommend some guidelines on how to take IR pics with a DSLR, please?
No, it says do not add images that have NOT been taken without a modified camera or filter.
In other words, taking a normal image and using a photoshop plug in is not infrared photography and (no matter how brilliant the result) does not belong in here. Nor do ‘normal’ pictures.
If you have had a camera modified to include an infrared filter OR you use an infrared filter attached to your unmodified camera, then the resulting pictures are very welcome here.
I attatched a red filter to my kodakZD 8612 IS , and nothing, even when i set the camera in BW mode , any ideas ? mig25foxbat@live.com. however i have IR pictures taken on film years ago , I will like to scan them
probably it’s a question of exposure – you may need 30second exposures or more. Most cameras block infrared but their ability to do so varies. So with a few, you can get away with a short exposure (e.g. 1/2 sec) but with others you need a big exposure (e.g. 30 seconds).
Is it an R72 or equivalent filter?
