Track
Dedicated to Andrei Tarkovsky’s atmospheric masterpiece STALKER.
The desolate and forbidding Zone.
You are utterly alone there.
And utterly in danger.
Menace without name, without form.
The tracks remind me so much of part of this film.
I heartily recommend it although with today’s obsession for guns, explosions and super-hero-men, it may not be everyone’s cup of tea.
Some dangers exceed even man’s destructive powers.

Thanks Cindy. I have a ‘thing’ about railway tracks. All down to that film Stalker….. I get the shivers whenever I see them :-)

Amazing…. Love the desolate feel to this..

It does feel desolate to me – pleasing too, since it was taken in the middle of Geelong :-)

This is amazing, I love the dark tones to this. You can almost see the ghost train as it travels the tracks :)

Thank you Michael. My worry was the ‘live’ train that I thought my travel my backside while I was taking it. My ears were pinned wide LOL

I know that feeling, everytime I setup for a shot on some tracks, I get a bit jumpy and think I can feel the vibration of a train coming. Of course, there never is one but in mind it’s right there. LOL

Powerful work with psychological depth, haunting. Thanks for the excellent introduction of STALKER! Andrei Tarkovsky is such a great director.
