I don’t always try to take the types of shots I post here.
Sometimes I’ll see something and grab a few frames before I do my “normal” shoot.
This is one of those. Quite a cliched holiday village type shot maybe, but I liked the lines as the waves sucked back out. And as a stroke of luck there were a couple of surfers up the other end of the beach, a few gulls dotted here and there, and a family and their 4wd , berleying for, & then pumping sand worms and using those worms to entice larger fry to the hook.
So there was a bit happening to add a point of interest or two and there was nice colour and sidelight.
I was a bit lucky with the positioning of the fisher family as they were in a spot where I could use them for thirds with vertical, horizontal and square framing. I was pretty happy with what I had and was packing up when another photog turned up and started unpacking his gear.
Mr Tourist bolted straight out of his car, up beside me, setting up his gear and said, “Nice light, pity about that bastard with his bus on the beach wrecking our picture”
