The eternal pair of gulls on guard on their rock after sundown.
I liked the quartzite rock dotted amongst the basalt, which gave a flash of red or white in the almost dark gloom in this long exposure.
It was nice of the gulls to stand perfectly still for me for the 30 second exposure.

Gorgeous shot !! I love the rocks and the effect of the slow shutter speed on the water. The rock on the left 1/3 from the top which is red draws my attention and i really like the clouds. Beautiful capture :-)

  • Thank you Fred, it’s the middle foreground that caught my eye with this one.

Birds can do that, I had a duck sit still for 30 seconds once! Love the varying colour of the rocks as the water shimmers over the top and the hushed blue tone reides nicely throughout

  • Thank you very much Stuart for the comments
