A view of “The Hazards” leading to “Mt Amos” in the middle background.
Freycinet National Park taken from Coles Bay.
The Freycinet Peninsula and surrounding areas sit atop an enormous mound of granite that extends many kilometres underground.
I found out on this trip that Mt Amos was actually named after one of the ancestors of my children – and of course this means that one day I’ll have to lug my camera gear up there for the dawn or sunset shoot. Maybe if I start at dawn I’ll make it by sunset LOL.

Nikon D90
Sigma 10-20mm
Lee ND grads or Polariser (not sure when I swapped)
