I love being up at 4:00 am.
I hate getting up at 3:30am.
And when you need to do things during the day, staying up from yesterday isn’t always an option.
But, this particular morning was one of the best early rises I have probably ever had.
To be here in this magnificent silent wilderness in the snow and ice and light was amazing. To see it turn from black, to grey, to blue, to purple and then burst into orange/apricot in the clouds was amazing.
This pano was taken in the minutes before the sun burst over the horizon. Rob and I were patient, and beyond words. We were waiting for the light.
