I was really struck this fagus season at Cradle Mountain by how much it resembles a perfectly constructed “wild” garden.
But the killer is that its not constructed at all, it’s the real deal that has to withstand all the weather that the Tasmanian highlands can throw at it.
It gets more beautiful everytime I go back, and it never changes.
