I bought a Windows netbook. 10.1 inch screen.1GB x 250GB plus external DVD drive, external hard drive and USB mouse.
The plan is to use it as a storage drive and a review screen when on extended shoots.
Trouble is that I went to load the Canon software on it and the screen resolution does not go high enough for the Canon software.Only goes to 1024 × 600.
So I did a bit of a google at my options and I installed XnView to use as a viewing and raw converting option. It seems to be quite a good option but I was wondering if there was anything better out there.
I was wondering if anyone has had experience with what might be my best freebie options in this regard.
I want to shoot raw CR2 and view files and do deletions on the netbook.
I can transfer them across with the windows file structure, so that side of it is no trouble.
Ability to edit images is not all that important as I would much rather do that on a larger screen.
Any ideas or experience?
