G’day GARTH!
Beautiful but deadly. (Just like my ex!) I am so glad these do not grow to human size.
A great find and expertly photographed to show off the plant’s unusual growth habit and all those deadly dew drops.
Well exposed, focussed and sitting well within the frame, this carniverous plant is a delight to view.

Looks beautiful to me (but Dennis’s ex was probably beautiful too – LOL). I have never seen such a beautiful, but apparently deadly, ‘flower’. I must look it up on the internet. Is there anything in particular I should look for when I search Google for it? Other than Dennis’s ex? Chris :)
Garth Smith replied
Thank you Chris, more detail, precise scientific name and a clearer pic here amongst Travis Easton’s portfolio

Garth, I never knew what these were called. This is a great image of them. I found some in our back yard the other day and they had a lovely little mauve flower on them. I was a bit too shallow with depth of field and got a great shot of the flower, but the dewy bit is not clear enough. They are a fascinating plant and you have captured it really nicely.
Well done, Lynn
Garth Smith replied
Thank you Lynn, yes we certainly have some fascinating stuff under our feet that are easy to miss.
