Volcanic bubbles
The folds and bubbles of the volcanic rock erode to form interesting patterns and habitats on the Montagu foreshore. Plants try to gain a foothold amongst a soil of broken shells.
Taken in the shade with the orange sunset highlighting the rocks behind.

The subject is a great find, Garth…....
How come you never take ME down to Montagu…...is that YOUR little playground??
....well, I’m not taking you to the Stanley wharf, EVER!!
Just for the record, i would have opened up one more stop, IF I’d been there to take the same pic!!!
...So there!!
Garth Smith replied
LOL,... and if I had opened one more stop you would have told me the water had washed out highlights
David Murphy
Would NOT!!
...I’d have said “you can’t read your camera properly!!”

And here is the Garth Smith magic in action! This is gorgeous, the circles, the lines, the smoothness, the colours, the contrast, yes, well, just another magic shot! It would be interesting to see what would happen should you and Murph go out on a shoot together – who would end up in the water first, aye?!!! There is a serenity and a gentleness here that is touching… beautiful imagery!
Garth Smith replied
Like I said, too kind Vicki. I’ll get a fat head LOL.

Murph and I do go together sometimes.
He was with me when I took these.
Do you think he’s holding me back? Should I leave him home next time? LOL
Vicki Ferrari
No, he’s not holding you back by the look of those shots! I don’t recognise a couple of them – will have to go and find them! Better take him with you in case you need a hand to get through the door!!!! :))))
How did you do that, by the way?!!!
Rainy
