this is intense..i enlarged this, recommend you all do..there is a window (at least for me) the title is perfect. there are many thoughts that go thru my head when i look into this …when i was young, very young.. i would always draw stairs..finding a way out..a way out of my thoughts or of my stuff…..pain when shoved deep..swallowed…hidden…or abanded has to go thru so many channels to find the window ..pain when alllowed to breathe in the air of light subsides..

your work brings up thought..that is something i just really love about it…some so deep it could be talked about for days and some is just a beautiful thought that brings a calm happiness..

this is one that will bring some real good writing out.. terri

The perfect entry, too. I can’t wait to see Margpie’s words to go with it!

Follwed aspectsoftmk’s advice and enlarged it, and I’m glad I did. The details reveal new meaning. I agree, your art allows people to think and elve and try to understand. I can see it in some future museum or private collection next to Van Gogh and Da Vinci.

  • liesbeth replied

Wow that sure makes my day! I am allready happy when i read comments about making others think and even more FEEL, that’s what it is to me, feelings. Thank you Natella for taking the time to enlarge it.

Yes.. there are many kinds of pains, though all pass through heart and body.
The pain of the artist comes from a so profound vaccum and at the same tipy is full of energy that many times is clutching to it withoutletting it go. Blurred as this image, eroded, faded… while one is having the image to created… it does not actually coming…and it hurts.. of course… this is nothing comparing with other pains…. I know..but yet…it comes..it happens..not my case.. but in some very intense souls, a motiv for loosing their senses….. and even their souls.

HI I am new here and have to say I find this painting beautiful and so haunting, the colours are outstanding. It makes me think of Titanic with a deserted dressing table on the right and the regal staircase to the left. We all have our own interpretations of a given image and this is mine. Absolutely wonderful !

  • liesbeth replied

    hey..hi.. first welcome to rb..;)
Thank you for sharing your take on this.. it’s nice to see different views..makes me look at it different also.. i love that.. ;)
