When i think of Peace.. i see a bright white light with soft pastels, it feels soft, inviting, not judging and warms my heart. Hope when you look at my painting you can share in my feeling..

Info over Sing Mercy Now by Mary Gauthier
“One day not too long ago I received an e-mail from a wonderful young man in Israel, Shay Guwetta, telling me that he’d recorded my song Mercy Now in Hebrew. When he sent me the MP3, I loved it. I put it up on my web site for everyone to hear, and told people about it at shows. A few weeks later, I played a private party in Manhattan, and I told the story about the wonderful cover of Mercy Now in Hebrew. Well, I had no idea that the Palestinian Ambassador to the US was in the audience. He came up to me after the show, and encouraged me to come to Palestine. He seemed a little put off by my glowing endorsement of the Hebrew version of my song. It dawned on me that I’d love to have an Arabic version of Mercy Now in addition to the Hebrew version. Then it hit me that I’d love to hear a version of Mercy Now translated into in as many languages as possible, especially the languages of places where war and political upheaval cause great pain and suffering. I am inviting musicians from everywhere to send in a version of Mercy Now in their musical own musical style and in their native language to SingMercyNow@gmail.com, and we’ll post them up on the SingMercyNow Myspace page for the world to listen to. Who knows, we might lighten a few loads out there.”

A very powerful song and interesting project the singer started ,it gripped me, a nice portrayal of trying to find that space if it inner peace we are looking for, or the unforunates in the grips of war,famine,ot disaster, thks liesbeth for this experience Paul :)))))))))))

I worked on Mary once when I lived in Nashville (I was a massage therapist then). Wonderful, amazing songwriter….and I love this song. Wonderful connecting it with this beautiful image of peace and Mercy!
