In Memoriam

To Prof. Alexander Fol

Dearest Teacher,

You left us today! With heavy heart, I am holding my tears not to erase the written on the white sheet. As if the Light has gone together with you.
Today you crossed the threshold of what some call death, and others, wiser, call immortality.
The Son of the Sun reflected through you in our eyes, and now, through the tears, we can see the rainbow.
I wish I could write as Marquez once wrote: “Life is more infinite than Death”, and to exclaim: “You live in our hearts! “…
When I look at the Sun, I scream against this supreme injustice, that you cannot feast your eyes on it. When I am listening to the music (and this is a cosmic vibration), I cry, that you cannot hear it! You could not rejoice the first swallow, and with it, the spring, but I secretly hope that you can see them through the Eternity, because you deserved your place there. Not the obscure Hades engulfed you, but the Sun, which illuminated the God of the beauty and immortality, the Thracian Apollo…
The wine that I take a sip of, now has a taste of the blood of your Thracians, who, lead us together to the way of the Knowledge from the inside…
You had a name of a great ruler, who conquered with manliness, bravery and mind (those virtues that consist “arete”) whole Egypt and reached India. Without realizing it, you conquered the hearts of not a few and won their respect and veneration.
When I look at your image, as if my soul is being illuminated, but now, the hidden sorrow from your loss, evokes tears… And I will call you by your true name, because your name is a Teacher…
You taught us how to think, and how to live according the type of the time that we have chosen. You taught us the meaning of being a human, even more – godlike! Dearest Teacher, your wisdom was so blissful and all penetrating!
Now, when your perishable remains were dispersed over the Valley of the immortal Thracian rulers, the imperishable, that you were carrying with you, sowed the grain of the Faith and let itself to the wind, in order to sow new Faith for new Life…
I bow my head at your memory, and I hope to meet you again, in that “Other Life“. Because the true faith is achieved Beyond, as you were teaching us.
You stepped over. We humbly stay at the threshold, awaiting God to invite us, in order to cross over the Ante-Faith chamber. We believe that you are There!
Weren’t you telling us that people can understand each other only by the metaphors but they don’t realize it?
Tell us that you will be!

With all the love,
One of your students, and thousands other desolated, stricken with grief hearts, which…

Artist's Description

In Memoriam

Four years have gone, since one of the greatest persons I have ever met, left this Earth… I dedicated these words to him, hoping they can reach him in the Eternity.
Never posted before on the net, here it is, as it should be, my humble veneration at his memory… When life has faded his meaning, alone in the dark nights, praying with no words, sometimes images emerge from the past, to remind me I have to resist, and to stay alive…
I’m cold, and my body is shaking, I have no shape, have no face, have no eyes, all I am, is the leaking melancholy named a desire, an infinite longing for peace…
