Rosemary was such a sweet and shy child. I remember when the nightmare began. I was asleep after a long day at work, but I soon woke up to the sound of screams. I can still hear that noise, it haunts me every night. I got out of bed and ran to Rosemary’s room as fast I could, stumbling a few times on the way.
I opened the door to her bedroom and I froze when I saw it. I couldn’t move, all I could do was watch as a shadowy creature hovered over my little girl. She was so scared, but I could do nothing to help her.
After a few minutes, the shadow vanished. I was shaking like a leaf in the wind, but I was able to move again. I went to Rosemary to see if she was okay. Her eyes were red and she was looking at where the shadow once loomed. What happened next scared the life out of me. Rosemary quickly moved her eyes to look at me and then growled with anger, making me almost jump out of my skin. It was horrible. I couldn’t stay there. I ran out of the room as fast as I could and slammed the door shut behind me.
Since that day, my dear daughter has been possessed by that shadowy beast. It roams the house at night. I stay in my room with the door locked and a chair against it. My daughter is lost forever. I am the father of the devil.
