Coal dark night has ended,
a day of diamonds dawns.
The hummingbird from columbine
sips nectared sparkling jewels
condensed from dewdrops’ dreams,
and bees the sunkissed flowers taste
to break their morning fast.
Red tulips tip their tall proud crowns
and shake their just washed heads
while choruses of bird songs trill
the morning reveille.

I seem to be all over the place today don’t I? This is actually the way I feel today and you’re welcome. I’m so happy to share it with you!

Really how I feel today, my lovely friend – the other, just a bit of residual memory that needed venting. Spring and early summer are just the happiest seasons – all coming alive again, color restored, the perfume of a warm day – ooooooohhhh I just love it!

Gosh that would be nice Dwayne – lol – so glad you liked it. But if you want to read an even better spring poem – read Pijinlane’s latest called “Wake Up” – she and I must have been on exactly the same wavelength at the same time and I swear I hadn’t read hers first – lol. It’s just fantastic!

After being such a night-owl in my early 20’s (as I’m sure many, many of us were), I realized what I was missing. Your poem nails that. Well-done!
