Martha never looked this good!

The lovely Martha Washington geranium with it’s typical “watercolor” splashes after a rain. Oddly the colors run just like paint giving the flower a kind of “impressionistic” look. But isn’t her “bonnet” lovely – I’m sure the real Martha never had one so pretty!

Martha…....you’re looking good lass!!!!!!!!!! Only you could capture a flower that is delighting in the rain and painting itself in a glory of colour :o) A beauty Lianne xx

I understand that the “real” Martha wasn’t especially gorgeous to look upon – lol – so I’m betting she’d be pleased as punch to be this dolled up! You are just the most wonderful and supportive friend, dear Sal – thanks for who you are!

  • lianne

Isn’t she pretty? It did remind me of a painting – just the way the water makes it look like drops of paint when the color runs a bit. Thank you so much – from the lady who gave me a desire for that special eye – I can’t tell you what that means! Just so much my dear friend!

  • lianne

It gets color circles like water rings on a table top, the color flows out from the center of the droplet and kind of pools as if you’d dropped water on a watercolor. And thank you, my friend!

  • lianne

lianne in reply to Kathie Nichols’s comment, 3 months ago

Well thank goodness it doesn’t “run” quite like paint – more as if you dropped a splash of water on a still moist watercolor but it’s still a pretty effect. Thank you so very much, Kathie, for your lovely comment – I really appreciate it so much!
