Artist's Description

The small fishing port of Brixham in South Devon is used by commercial trawlers in the Brixham Fishing Fleet and also for tourism. The name Brixham is thought to have derived from Brioc’s village (Brioc being an old English personal name) and Ham which is an old term for Village. This is a very ancient village and it is recorded that William of Orange landed here when he first set foot in England.
