This Heath Spotted Orchid was found in Glen Coe, in the Scottish Highlands on 27th July. It was in slightly marshy ground, very well hidden in fairly dense undergrowth. The purple line markings are very distinctive and the leaves have little black spots all along the length This picture was recently featured in the Endangered and Vulnerable plants group.
I live in the UK and in 2011 when I joined Red Bubble, started experimenting with different settings and angles. I enjoy finding suitable pictures of flowers, Scotland, reflections, lamps and seats and have now branched out into different subjects.
