Location: Over the Earth’s Oceans
According to ancient mythology, each of the “Four Winds” was a son of a Greek god, Aeolus, god of the Winds, who himself was the son of Poseidon, god of the Seas. The South or Southwest Wind, Notus, being a warm and moist wind, brought danger to mariners and shepherds alike because he brought mist, fog and rain.
