Wasp
A damsel in distress. This is the pose I was confronted with when I caught this bug in a jar so I could draw it. I’m not sure it appreciated it. I wasn’t sure if those nippers were just for show or not, so when I let it go, I stayed well away!
I added some irridescent paint to the wings to make them more realistic. The colours shift as you walk past it, just like on a real bug’s wings.

Imagine if this creature was ten feet tall and you’d just annoyed it … happy dreams :)
Great work … amazing that you actually created this with acrylic paint … such detail.
