I love the covers of old pulp magazines. Bold clashy colours, licks of highlight, action poses, massive close-ups. So good.

Lovely work of art! I especially love the depth here; how you have something small that is so upclose appearing bigger that the great body in the distance.

  • aww thanks, it was so much fun to draw and paint.

Great warm palette, dig your title, I also enjoy cardboard, have not tried acryl on cardboard.

  • Yeah acrylic on cardboard is great (and cost effective). I find the best results are when you use little to no water, otherwise it makes the cardboard buckle and bubble. But yeah, keep your paint thick and smooth, and acrylic on cardboard will be your best friend. :)

  • aw thanks, I love the colours too. I think I spent this one going “It needs to be brighter… hang on, that’s straight red… BRIGHTER!”
