I have no idea what this is, only that is from some sort of farm equipment – very old farm equipment.

oh, its from an old farm in Ohio. Belonged to my father-in-law who passed away a few years ago. He was 3 generation born there. The foundation of the old barn was built by Indains.
All of it is gone now. The Farm house has been replaced by a beautiful log cabin tht his grandson built and all the rust have been hauled off.
