Profile
I am an intuitive artist, drawing on emotion and life experiences to explore themes and narrate them visually.
My paintings range from stylized, bold and radiant landscapes, expressive and provoking portraits, to layered and textured abstracts. Many of my paintings depicting light and it’s effects on surfaces and colours, as well as the mood that transforms onto the canvas.
Painting has always been an intrinsic part of my life. At the age of 16 I had two paintings exhibited at a public art gallery, The Dowse gallery (now The New Dowse) in Lower Hutt, Wellington.
My paintings have featured in several collections over the last six years, including exhibitions at Wellington’s Fine Arts Academy and Saatchi & Saatchi gallery, Five Stories High. I have also worked on commissioned paintings, which are in private collections throughout Australia, France and New Zealand.
