Slioch and Loch Maree
The sun was coming in exactly the direction I had planned for, and I was there in plenty of time to make a planned approach. I ended up running around like a crazy man due to the hordes of midges that were swarming round me.
Ah well, I love this shot, even though it’s taken me 3 months to process it!
Canon Eos 5D, 17-40L lens at 36mm, ISO50, f22 for 3 seconds. FIlters weren’t noted, but would likely have been my trusty 1.2 ND and possibly a 0.6 hard grad.

You have certainly got the right light here.

My sincere condolences regarding the midges, just now they are here in hoardes and at a frenzy owing to copious amounts of rain !!
Lovely image that does this place a lot of justice, well done !!

Wonderful shot! This is my fave area in Scotland. The rock there real glows pink in the setting sun. Well worth the wait & the evil midgies, excellent!
