Hi, This is just a little something for Easter. The story of Jesus has inspired millions worldwide to put their trust in him. Here’s why ….
HIS STORY UNFOLDS ……
Jesus lived 2000 years ago. He did good to all, performed miracles and taught about God’s kingdom. He was arrested, tried and handed over to be crucified.
Here’s what happened next…..
“The soldiers led Jesus away into the palace and called together the whole company of soldiers. Mocking Jesus, they put a purple robe on him, twisted together a crown of thorns and set it on his head. While falling to their knees they began to call out to him. Hail King of the Jews” Again and again they struck him.. When they had finished mocking him, they took him out ot be crucified.
They led Jesus out of the city carrying his own cross. They brought Jesus to the place called Golgotha (which means The Place of the Skull). There the soldiers nailed him to the cross.
Placed above his head was the written notice of hte charge against him reading THE KING OF THE JEWS.
Those who passed by hurled insults at him, shaking their heads and saying, “Come down from the cross and save yourself”. In the same way the chief priests and the teachers of the law mocked him among themselves. “He saved others,,” they said yet He cannot save himself!
Let this Christ, this King of Israel, come down now from the cross, that we may see and believe." The two robbers crucified with him also heaped insults on him.
At the sixth hour darkness came over the whole land until the ninth hour. At the ninth hour Jesus cried out in a loud voice, “My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?” And with a loud cry, Jesus breathed his last. When the centurion heard his cry and saw how he died, he said, "Surely this man was the Son of God.
It was Preparation Day – (the day before the Sabbath day of rest.) So as evening approached Joseph a prominent member of the Council, went boldly to Pilate and asked for Jesus’ body. Pilate was surprised to hear that he was already dead. Summoning the centurion, he asked him if Jesus had already died. When he learned from the centurion that it was so, he gave the body to Joseph. So Joseph bought some linen cloth, Took down the body, wrapped it in the linen and placed it in a tomb cut out of rock. Then he rolled a stone against the entrance of the tomb. When the Sabbath was over, Mary the mother of Jesus and Mary Magdaline went to the tomb they they might go to anoint Jesus’ body. Very early on the first day of the week, just after sunrise, they werre on their way to the tomb and they asked each other, “Who will roll the stone away from the entrance of the tomb?” But when they looked up tehy saw that the stone, which was very large had been rolled away.
As they entered the tomb they saw a young man dressed in a white robe sitting on the right side, and they were alarmed. “Don’t be alarned,” he said. "You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. He has risen. He is not here. See the place where they laid him. But go, tell his disciples and Peter “He is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him, just as he told you.”
Later on, Jesus appeared to his friends and over five hundred people at one time.
Jesus was the onlly person who had never done anything wrong. He suffered death on behalf of others. By his death he takes away sin and makes those who believe in him right with God.
Everyone who believes in Him receives forgiveness and eternal life in His name.

Price is Paid – Aletta Vandenberg
I went delivering roses on Good Friday last year as we do every year, and someone opened the door expecting to pay some donation for the rose.
I told this person, No this is free, the price has already been paid with His Blood. He has already paid for our sins on the cross. Then I told her about the symbol of the rose. – the bud being like the tomb closed up and then on the third day the bloom opens, being the sign of New Life – he is risen.
I hope that you all have a great Easter.
May God truly bless each one.
