Yep, that’s really the kinda of point I’m making. I created this in response to the views I’ve encountered elsewhere on the net, from Americans who are vehemently pro-gun, and see it as a freedom issue…or at least that’s their excuse for not wanting to give up the right to bear arms. Personally, I think it’s more a case of fear, paranoia, and ego.

It’s all too true. Reminds me of the guys you see at the gas station The ones who pull up with their giant-sized truck, with an over-sized lift kit, huge tires and plumes of black smoke pouring out of the noisy exhaust of their diesel engine. Then they hops out, and on a good day they’re maybe an inch over 5 foot. You wonder if they really think material can make up for their own insecurities and shortcomings.

True, but I made this particular montage in direct response to, or influenced by, the conversations I had with Americans who are pro-gun and who are reluctant to relinquish their current right to bear arms, often seeing it as a freedom issue, and failing to see the sense in removing firearms from public access/ownership. The vast majority of people in Uk think it’s crazy to have guns on sale in Walmart for example, obscene even. I’m certainly glad that guns are illegal in UK ! I also am convinced that gun ownership is based upon fear, paranoia and ego. Anything I can do to undermine that is the least I can do. I was talking to an English woman only yesterday x-army, who had served alongside US troops & told me how trigger happy they are, shoot at anything she said, even sheep in a field. Sick. My Dad also told me about his experiences in WW2 with “yanks” firing live rounds at the Brit soldiers approaching their camp.
