Prevalent Ethical system in the modern west is Utilitarianism. We have tried to create an ethical system that does not involve religion but this has not been possible because ethics always raise questions to the worldview behind them. Utilitarianism in ethics tries to make sense of moral action as a means of its development in overall social value. For instance- the divorce issue, an issue that interweaves religion and political institutions, is shaped by the question of whether the allowance of it serves happiness to the majority of people. Our idea of an ideal human being- ex Jesus Buddha etc.. effects our morality (doctrinal dimension)
