Oil on paper, 20×27cms. These two cranes named Samson and Goliath, can be seen from so many locations around Belfast. They belong to the Harland & Wolff shipyard and are a constant reminder of the days when Belfast was one of the world’s leading shipbuilding sites (Titanic and all that). Although the yard is far less busy today, the cranes are still in working order and are still the biggest of there kind. They have become an integral part of the Belfast skyline and feature on tourist trips around the city.
