Grand Place by Lesley Williamson
The Grand Place or Grote Markt is the central square of Brussels. The giant building to the left is the Hotel de Ville or Town Hall. Opposite and partially lit up in blue is the museum. The square dates from the 12th century and plays home to many of the country’s best baroque guildhalls, adorned with masses of gold.
On the right hand side, you can just see lights that were being shone into the sky that night.
