Photoshop Magic by Lesley Williamson

Saw this last night and just thought i’d share….

It’s a short video showcasing Photoshop’s new ‘Content Aware Fill Feature’. It’s not been released yet, but it looks pretty amazing. Watch the video to the end, the last clip is the best!

I’m interested to see what people think…

The content aware fill of the panorama is particularly impressive. I’ve been working on panoramas for the last few days and have been repeatedly frustrated at the amount I have to crop them down. This could be a great help.

(Interested to see you picked this up from Gizmodo – I follow a sister site, Lifehacker.)

My other half is a software developer so he comes across stuff like this all the time. It was him that showed me it.

I’m the same with panos, I tend to stitch vertical shots together but like you always have to crop more than I want to so i’m pretty interested too!

Hi Lesley! I have just downloaded the PS CS5 trial from the Adobe website. I tested the content aware fill on a pano – it’s pretty impressive, leaving just some minor tidying up to do afterwards. But it eats up RAM!

Cheers John, that’s good to know, I might just download the trial myself! :)
