Hi all!
I’m writing this journal just to say how chuffed I am at having Barber Shop picked for National Geographic Magazine’s Daily Dozen!! You can see it here. This means that it has a chance of being published in the Your Shot section of the magazine, depending on how people vote it. I’m so chuffed so thought i’d share!!
It’ll only be there until tomorrow and then there will be another 12. It’s worth having a look around the site at the other images, some are truly amazing! It’s also worth having a blast at submitting your own shots (if you haven’t already). You can submit one a month, here’s the link for it.

Fantastic – huge congrats, I went and checked it out, was thinking of submitting one – thanks for the info. Just checking though, when I was looking at their terms and conditions does that mean that although you maintain ownership they can use your image in whatever way they choose ‘perpetually’ royalty free? Wasn’t too sure.

Thanks Trish! I think that’s right yeah, you give them a royalty free non exclusive right to use your images however they choose. It’s not for everyone, I thought about it for a while first too. I subscribe to their magazine and their weekly emails and stuff though and regularly check their site, so I’d hope to see anything of mine that they used. I think you’d get a credit line where possible. Let me know if you decide to go ahead. :)

oh, yes, the pics they have are unique and real life moments!I got one selected as well, but from then I have been trying. But I enjoy those galleries a lot!
