I’m mucking around with the story to this painting, this is just a rough draft, I will probably change / add / take away bits and pieces as I go on.
Tell me what you think so far … I mucked around with the lighting so everyone could get a better idea of the Crystals, I hope you all like it …

In the days gone by, women would walk out into the bushland to find the birthing tree/ birthing ground/ womens ground, a sacred place that only women could go, to give birth, men were not aloud on this sacred place. Here they would gather leaves in preparation of the birth of their child under this tree. Sometimes they would give birth alone, sometimes family members would be close by to lend a hand to the young girls.
Most of time women would give birth alone.

A sad fact if the baby died it would be burried under the tree to give the tree life, the hand comming out of the tree depict LIFE and DEATH of the Birth

The women gives birth to LIFE, and her after birth gives LIFE to the TREE!!!

BIRTH > LIFE> DEATH >>> Yin Yang >>>

Each tribe has a totum, some have a few, I’m now adding Twelve Tribal Totum’s to depict the tribes, this is not all the Totum’s of Australian Aboriginal Tribes, I don’t think I could fit them all in, so twelve will have to do, but having said that I dreamt twelve Totums, so I guess that’s significant in some way???
The leaves of the tree are Crystals, depicting the energy of this powerful place. The Yin Yang is a symbal of the POWER of LIFE, energy of LIFE.

I dreamt a whole series of paintings with Crystal’s, this is the second painting the first being Dragonfly Two Worlds Collide…

Drangonfly Two Worlds Collide…

Dragonfly Two Worlds Collide…

My grandfather taught me how to do Aboriginal dot paintings he instilled tradition and a proudness of my heratidge, My grangmother was waradjuri tribe one of the biggest tribes of New South Wales (Australia), My grandmother decends from the murry’s and roses, she was from the stolen generation… I paint real places in Australia every painting has a story or purpose , MY FAMILY, MY PEOPLE, MY LAND !!!
