Chess game Token
The gods are playing chess again,
They move the pieces we feel the pain.
They move us ‘round like some small pawn,
A life is lost, a heart is torn.
But they don’t care what moves they make,
Whose worlds destroyed whose life they take.
It’s all a part of their great game,
Let’s move the queen, its check again.
The other moves his mighty rook,
Your move again, your pawn I took.
Without a stop or a brief pause,
They move again, more havoc caused.
They make the rain, they make the sun,
They make you feel new life’s begun.
And through it all a sound I hear,
The gentle splash of a sad tear.
From some lost soul whose life they’ve broken,
I guess we are all….. just a chess game token.

Thank you Sandra,I’m glad that you enjoyed it. I had this and another poem on my site from when I first joined RB but, something in the new RB programs sent it hay wire and I have had to resubmit them…..maybe it was so that you could find them..;)….LOL

Sandra after a couple of emails back and forth between Thomas (Red bubble) and myself the last email is below …..
_After consulting with your development team it appears there is a bug whereby formatting issues arrise when a rogue “space” is entered at the beginning of a paragraph. The formatting bug is something we’re currently looking into fixing to prevent this from happening in the future.
Are you able to go through the works to make sure there at no spaces at the beginnings of paragraphs?
After deleting any rogue spaces, clear your cookies and resubmit the work. Hopefully this will clear up the issue to allow for the lovely formatting you have in your other works.
