Artist's Description

I look around the world at the destruction of our forests and other natural habitat in the name of the mighty dollar and my heart aches. I look at the Amazon region and the dams that will be built to flood it in the name of progress. I look at the habitat that is needed for orang-utans to survive and is being constantly destroyed for palm sugar plantations so that the human race has sweeter tasting food. I see fishermen in Japan killing dolphins simply because they compete to live.
We, the human race, have a “duty of care” to those that we share this planet with. It is up to each of us to respect the balance of life that is needed to sustain this planet. Each time that a species is lost or the habitat destroyed…the chain of life is weakened and our own integrity is compromised because we didn’t stand up and say…”ENOUGH!”
