Acrylics….2008 35 x45cm Painted from a combination of two photographs. Looking through the broken glass windows draws my mind back to a time when people lived and worked in these harsh conditions without, the aid of modern technology and I wonder at their strength and courage.

I reside on the South Coast of New South Wales in the St.Georges Basin area which is situated within the bounderies of the Shoalhaven. I take many of my landscapes and seascapes within this area in an effort to share the beauty that it holds.

I’m glad that you liked it Robert…..Thank you for your comment.
I have to admit though, that is a lot of years since I picked up a paint brush in anger… least 40 I would say..maybe closer to 50. I have decided though that 2008 is the year to express my artistic side….what there is of it….LOL

Hey Les… Hope you’re still painting… I think this is really wonderful! I love the simplicity of the composition… yet your mind creates stories around what is/has happened here… great work… : )

  • Hi Jenny, I am spending more time on the Photography side at the moment. I guess once the painting bug (and writing for that matter) hit again I’ll start again. Maybe once I’m out in that wonderful outback ;-)

  • Thank you for your kind words Donna. It has been quite a while since I picked up a paint brush…maybe it is time for me to start again…I will see what happens with this new year.
