Look up to see the raindrops;
Watch closely as they come down;
Cascading through the treetops,
Glistening in early evening sun,
Bouncing off Avocado leaves, plop!
In pattern, grace and style;
Raindrops in profusion;
To bring the willing smile.
Could I but count the raindrops:
Oh, what benefit to me?
More fun to note their plip-plops
Dancing brown leaves beneath the tree;
And remember that somewhere up there in Zion
My LORD still things of me:
Yes; all that’s in these raindrops,
Look up! You too can see!
Cascading little raindrops
From heaven sent down, agree?
For rainbows in the sunshine
To feed this great earth’s need;
Asking those who have without measure
To spare some for those in need,
To bless with God’s drink of water,
‘Tis much more refreshing than coffee or tea!
Raindrops in profusion;
Oh! One just kissed my knee!
