Before you do read further
I seek your consent and say,
Open up to this intermission,
About the sweetest things I have to say,
As I offer you to meet Him,
My Friend, the best Friend of all,
And the reason for my writing,
The inspiration for my pen’s scrawl:
He holds the rank of ‘Saviour,’
Creator of both great and small,
Counsellor for any takers
The Almighty God, most Wonderful of all,
King of kings without any fit rival,
Prince of Peace, He stands sublime and tall,
Root of David, Star of the morning,
Michael the archangel,
He who is Satan’s downfall,
Guide for all the wonderers,
Sweet, sweet Lord to one and all;
Yes, have a read, and ponder carefully
As upon your heart each poem falls,
Filled with a message precious,
Christ died, yeah rose to save and empower us all
To live and access His holy heaven,
Read, read on and be enthralled!
