That's Not Santa

Artist's Description

This is another of the character I created based on a family member. I sort of laughed while drawing this one because when children pull off a beard, they are thinking its not just a beard but an entire face! And if you can see what is left of “Santa’s” face, he is hollering. Can you imagine what a child would be thinking that he not only pulled off Santa’s face but has caused him bodily harm indicative of him screaming. Mean time, the character created has turned to one of Santa’s helpers to complain that she has been lied to – that’s not Santa. To wit, the helper has nothing to say but to bribe her silence with a candy cane.
I still think its funny!

This was drawn on 11×14 sketch paper with fine to medium tipped ink pens and red gel ink. The image was digitally enhanced for online presentation.
