I drew this months ago and didn’t submit it because I wondered if I should color it or not. I think because I changed her hairstyle and clothes I aged her a little. I hope her mother likes it. Look at the photo first before commenting.

This was drawn on 12 × 12 white card stock with fine tipped black ink.

Lenora has been a Counselor/Family Worker for over 20 years. Currently, she has found have an inordinate amount of time working in the geriatric community. Using the time constructively, Lenora was crocheting with some of the ladies, as she use to with her mother who taught her the craft. In so doing, one of the ladies mentioned how she would have liked to have a portrait drawn. Lenora took on the task and was inspired to continue. The illustrations here are mostly inspired by her childhood.

  • I like the way you express yourself. My father use to say the same thing, but clearly not in the same way. Thanks again :)

    Interesting! Pretty! ;-)

But, I would say this portrait looks a little bit older than she actually is as when seen in the actual photos. There’s something particularly grown up about the way you’ve gone and done her hair; in such incredible detail; as if she had gone and visited top class hair dressers, recently.

  • lol.. I know, that’s why I prefaced it in the description. I wrote that also in the forum and the mother seemed eager to see what it looked like. She looks more like a tween than a little girl… but I liked the way it turned out anyway. Thanks for noticing nevertheless.
