The Mask
Women use masks all of the time. When we don’t forgive ourselves or others and can still smile in the face of adversity. Still, if we don’t take the time we need to cleanse ourselves from that animosity, that mask will start looking like a patchwork quilt. It starts tearing away and we have small explosions. Covering it with fantasy glasses and designers clothes doesn’t help. They say the eyes are the windows of your soul.
While drawing Attitude! I could see the mask woman even before I had finished.

11×15 Strathmore Cold Pressed Watercolor paper. I used Pilot percise extra fine and fine ball point pens along with various colored metallic gel pens. Graphite pencil was used for the eyes. I tried to coil the hair differently but it wasn’t working. I digitally enhanced the corrections.
