Okay, I was staying the night in Alameda on business. Alameda is an island, not very big and I have photographed there many times. There is a ferry to San Francisco across the bay and I took a lovely ferry ride. Unfortunately, I had to make sure I didn’t miss the last ferry back so, by the time I got there, I had only a couple of hours in the city. Not too many places one can get on foot in 2 hours. But, luckily, San Francisco is filled with lovely wonders if one only looks. I decided to capture some macro images of the city, ergo, a number of close-up images I call the shapes and patterns of the city. A bit different for me but I hope you enjoy them. This is a sculpture reflected in the pool in the Embarcadero Center near the Financial District.
