Okay Jim, you asked for these. This was taken early in the morning when there were so few people that I stood under the sculpture alone. The single figure is me. It was a great morning but reflects my sense of helplessness later that day when I received bad news from home and just needed to get back. A helpless feeling.

This has an inner sanctum feeling about it. Looks like the core of an apple feeding you the bad news from the apple of your life. So sorry your day had to end that way. So glad you captured something from the long trip to Chicago.

  • Thanks so much Adam! Such a wonderful description! I so much appreciate your good wishes and prayers!

where are you – where is this facinating sculpture that serves as your muse?

  • Hi Dovina! The sculpture is in Chicago. It looks like a giant chrome bean but it is supposed to represent a drop of mercury. Outside it reflects the city skyline but inside it is concaved giving very abstract reflections from every angle. Thanks so much for the wonderful comments!
