Gold Country Street Sign

Barbara Brown

Sacramento, United States

Artist's Description

The gold hunters of the California Gold Rush didn’t stay around long so did not give permanent names to things. They, instead, used descriptions to give directions. This street ran by the pig farm. The name has, however survived and remains in Amador City, an old gold rush town.
