Awesome.. love your work Leny
Matt, as always, thank you!
This cat seems alive. Beautiful lines and delicate shading. Inspiring. Now I want to draw my cat!
Thank you Euripides, that’s very kind.
Thank you Scott.
Great little drawing – congrats on your feature!
Thank you Tama!
Cynthia, once again, thank you, thank you, thank you!
Beautiful cat with powerful forearms and paws, reminiscent of non-domesticated cats. Thanks for submitting this to Solo Exhibition, Leny.
Fran, once again, thank you for accepting it into Solo Exhibition & for the favoriting, that’s most appreciated. His mother is half-wild, his 17 year old great-grandmother is a walking Steinlen and he’s my very own Puss In Boots with a melodious purr & ever so formidable paws.
You know Leny, I wondered if maybe you over-emphasized the paws and forearms for effect; but from what you’re saying in your reply, they are really that huge and powerful. It’s awesome, really. Walking Steinlen as in Theophile Alexandre Steinlen’s cats? Cool re: his great grandmother. :)
Indeed, Theopile Alexandre Steinlen’s Two Cats, 1894 – and since I also had black cats, they unknowingly re-created the tableau vivant many times…
Beautiful work. Love the technique.
