Taken looking towards West Bridgford as the skies started to look distinctly dark.

There had been an earlier squall, but this lot lasted a lot longer.

The higher clouds (the white fluffy bits) I would estimate at reaching around 30 to 36 thousand feet.

    beautiful scene

  • Hi George,
Thanks for the visit & comment.

Barely 3 minutes later, I had to drive under that lot and it really hammered it down!! (and by ‘hammered’, I mean hail)

  • Hi Tony,

Not bad from a little 7.1mp pocket camera eh?

Never under estimate a pocket camera, as resualts show.

  • Thanks Tony,
it’s a 4 year old Samsung V700 with 7.1 mp, but it’s most endearing feature is a minimum sensitivity of 50 ISO which is what the pic of the Trent building was taken at, hence the vibrant blue sky.

What a beautiful sky, excellent image!

  • Thanks Ellen,
I missed a stunning sky during the week. Yes, I had the camera, but unable to stop to take shots.

Really agree with your write in the Journal if artists should get paid, Lensman. Congratulations to this excellent multidimensional capture, layers of clouds very powerful with the setting sun. My greatest compliments to you from Christiane

  • Thanks for the comment on the shot. Yes, all artists and authors should be paid. A lot of great artists died penniless.
