Anyone who was or is a hardcore fan of the Matrix series of movies will understand the title even tho it has nothing whatsoever to do with the plot, sub-plots, or even the AniMatrix stories. If you’re not or never were a Matrix fan, what this fractal suggests is a tiny escape pod that could have been used in the event someone needed to bail out of one of the ships used by the humans. The concept of propulsion wasn’t entirely explained but it seemed to be based upon magnetic attraction/repulsion theory as the “real world” was underground for mankind and it was connected by metal tunnels. The roundish protrusions are very similar to the designs of the crafts that sped thru those tunnels.
This was a VERY quick design and a 24-hour render that survived one complete crash of Incendia on my laptop when the latter was put in sleep mode. I had the render paused but Windows Vista didn’t approve. I’d assumed it wouldn’t and had backed up all of this fractal’s buffers, parameters, materials, etc. prior to the crash. Yeah, I learned the lesson and put it to practice. LOL!
Incendia 1.3 did the formulas. There were no added baseshapes or transformations. There wasn’t even post-render touch-up or resizing. This as “as is” as a fractal from Incendia can possibly be, tho admittedly the render could have gone longer before I uploaded it to Red Bubble. Actually, it’s still running and will run for another 24-hours just to see what else happens. If it’s interesting it may substitute this upload and you won’t be reading any of this so I should probably stop wasting precious time. Then again, it’s time that won’t be wasted for you if I delete it for a later render so you’re getting a “scoop” by wasting your time right now. See how clever that was? Not.
This piece was quietly purchased recently, a first for any of my digital art. To the wonderful person who supported art in general and my art specifically, my heartfelt thanks!
Neo’s Pod also received the “Fractal Of The Week” honours in Fractal Universe group. I am humbled and seriously thankful! :-D
