Shot taken with the Panasonic TZ4 about 2/3 inch over the water. I’ve never seen many bugs strolling across the tensile cohesion of your everyday pond before. (How’s THAT for reaching all the way back to high school science class, huh? LOL!) Anyway, not that I’m thru bragging (without admitting I had to look up the spellings), this unidentified critter wasn’t the slightest bit disturbed by the camera just about poking him in the abdomen. Either that or he was just learning about the walking on water trick and didn’t want to make a mess of it and sink.

Either way, he hung out in a tiny backwater of the Bear River in California

I’m just slightly uneasy about the critter. I haven’t looked him up yet and I’ll wait for someone to surprise me with the name. But it looks like something I wouldn’t want burrowing in my skin or biting me undiscovered.

I’m a “scatter-focus” artist. ANYTHING may be here or roundabout my galleries. Expect nothing anywhere and you’ll always be OK. ;-)

love his shadow and your use of space is fabulous!

  • I thank you very much. :-D Everything about this shot is new for me and the use of space is from an ongoing commentary from another Red Bubble artist. I’m trying to be more aware of what I have before cutting it all away with the subject just wallowing there in the centre. LOL!
